Zuiko 35mm f2.8 (Shift)

This lens is in EF. It is an ultra-wide angle. It has a supremely fast aperture for how wide it is for a vintage shift photography lens. It has an amazing 3-D quality and doesn’t noticeably vignette wide open. It has a modern but filmic look to it.

This lens is natively an Olympus OM mount lens, but can easily be adapted to EF. The Zuiko’s are a great match to the Zenitar’s. They have a superb cinematic quality, a 3 dimensionality, very rectilinear glass.  To compare this lens to the Zuiko 35mm non-shift lens, they both have the same f stop, because the zuiko 35mm f2 is said to be quite a soft lens, so i decided to invest in both the Zuiko 35mm f2.8 and the Zuiko 35mm f2.8 shift. They are identical on paper, but ergonomically, the non shift is more stable than the shift, but the shift lens has more room for fun-experimentation of distortion in interesting ways.

The Zuikos complement the set very well, allowing classic Russian vintage glass to be cinematically vast and ergonomic because of the Zuikos’ rectilinear quality and Zenitars hardworking excellence in experimenting. This lens covers Full Frame, Super 35mm and m4/3 digital sensors.
