The Zuiko lens is made in Japan, but then again , so were a number of Helios lenses. The Zuiko lenses are some of the most cinematic photography lenses in my opinion. They share particular focal lengths that create better distortion for movement. It has an amazing 3-D quality and vignettes slightly wide open. It has a modern, but filmic look to it.
This lens is natively an Olympus OM mount lens, but can easily be adapted to EF, without any problem. The Zuiko’s are a great match to the Zenitar’s. They have a superb cinematic quality, a 3 dimensionality, very rectilinear glass. The only lens wider than this by Zuiko is the 18mm. Which I decided to use in the Helios set instead of the Zenitar set, but the 18mm would nonetheless complement this set.
They complement the set very well, allowing classic Russian vintage glass to be cinematically vast and ergonomic because of the Zuikos’ rectilinear quality and Zenitars hardworking excellence in experimenting. This lens covers Full Frame, Super 35mm and m4/3 digital sensors.
