There is no 20mm Anamorphic lens to my knowledge, so this lens carries a little bit of an unrealistic look from a distance. I recommend trying to use the 37mm for wide angles and the 20mm lens for more close ups for a more convincing anamorphic look.
The Anamorphic Mimic 20mm f3.5 is a wide angle lens that has been given anamorphic characteristics.
This lens is a Russian lens that has been modified by Iron Glass adapters to create a realistic Anamorphic look. The intention was to mimic the flare and bokeh pattern only. There is no squeezing taking place. Filters cannot be attached to the front hood of this lens.
These lenses have all been adapted to EF with sturdy adapters. They have focus and iris gears and currently have 72mm front threads (aside from the 16mm and 20mm). Check in soon as they will have 77mm inner and 80mm outer diameters too 🙂
