The Anamorphic Mimic 58mm f2 is a medium angle lens that has been given anamorphic characteristics.
This is the more telephoto of the medium angles, so it’s bokeh is a little more swirly closest to that of a telephoto .
This lens is a Russian lens that has been modified by Iron Glass adapters to create a realistic Anamorphic look. The intention was to mimic the flare and bokeh pattern only. There is no squeezing taking place. I recommend using ND filters to keep the aperture nearly wide during bright scenes .
These lenses have all been adapted to EF with sturdy adapters. They have focus and iris gears and currently have 72mm front threads (aside from the 16mm and 20mm). Check in soon as they will have 77mm inner and 80mm outer diameters too 🙂
